The ceremony offered on Wednesday by HM King Mohammed VI and chaired, on the Sovereign’s High Instructions, by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan in honor of the members of the U-20 national football team, following their World Cup triumph, is a source of great pride for the entire squad, head coach Mohamed Ouahbi said.
“It’s an incredible feeling and a source of great pride,” Ouahbi told the press, noting that the players are impressed by the welcome they received and would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who supported them throughout the competition.
Praising the fighting spirit shown by the national team players on the field, the coach also commended the selflessness of the Cubs, world champions, who gave their all to honor their country.
This reception also showcases “the greatness and importance” of the historic achievement of these young players, he said, while emphasizing the immense pride of the national team members in representing Morocco and its values of self-sacrifice, perseverance, and solidarity.
After this victory, “we must continue to work to win more titles and do honor to our beloved country,” he concluded.
