AS FAR won the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League for the second time in its history, after defeating the Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas 2–1 in the final on Friday evening at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia.
Both goals for the AS FAR women’s team came from penalties, converted by Hanane Ait El Haj (13th minute) and Zineb Redouani (85th minute), while ASEC Mimosas managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from Ami Diallo in the 55th minute.
This is the Moroccan team’s second continental title, after winning the African Champions League in 2022 by beating South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns. AS FAR had lost the previous edition’s (2024) final by a single goal to TP Mazembe in a match held at El Abdi Stadium in El Jadida.
In the third-place match, the Congolese team TP Mazembe defeated the Egyptian side Masar 3–1 on Friday evening, securing the tournament’s bronze medal.
